The easiest way to get lots of gems is to buy them.  Now you would need "real" money to buy this.  Yes, from your own savings, bank account, paypal or credit card.

If you don't want to spend, you can do it the hard way.  Sometimes, it's more challenging.  It's not impossible to play this game without spending real money so here goes:

• Keep on buying the same item.  It will give you a gem.
• Level-up means more gems!
• Save your gems.  Use them wisely.
• Take advantage of bonus gems like downloading other free apps they offer.
• Complete goals.

How are you enjoying your Fashion Story game so far?

Broken hearted customers only means you lack either

• clothes
• mirrors 
• changing rooms

Make sure that there are mirrors close enough where they look your products.
Also, make sure that your changing rooms are near the clothes!

If you have encountered a thought bubble from a customer with sideway envelop looking icon, then it just means either add mirrors or put them near the items.
